Description

Description

This is a course where we provide controlled environment to learn and practice basic essential survival skills when you may need to be mobile.

Location: Marion Kentucky

Dates: Friday-Sunday

Skill level: Beginner and up

Age Requirement: Anyone under the age of 18 must be companied by a parent or guardian.

You will not need to book a place to stay, nature will provide. This is an immersive experience going over global principles for survival and how to adapt to your local environment and biome. We will cover the 5 basics of survival (Communication, Navigation, Personal Protection, Sustenance, and Medical) with a heavier focus on accurate and effective land navigation. It is recommended that you already have a base line knowledge of how a map and compass work. We will cover Topographical maps, magnetic declination, common trekking injuries/trauma and treatment, the Military Grid Reference System, the Universal Transvers Mercator system, and how to build and use a navigational checklist to get from one point to another.

For this class you should be in good enough shape to carry everything you will need with you for two days of hard work in rough wilderness terrain regardless of weather conditions.

If you do get charged an additional fee, the carrier will expect payment at the time of delivery. If you refuse the shipment because of these charges, or if an order is rejected by customs due to item restrictions, or if the order is returned because the local post is unable to locate your address, the return shipping cost and any duties associated with it will be deducted from your refund once the package is returned and processed by our warehouse. Please note that packages returned by customs can sometimes take a very long time to return, and in extreme circumstances can take as long as one year.
